Connections – Hononga

One of the best things about attending a festival is the people you meet and the conversations you have.  We create an atmosphere at Burning Horse where meaningful connections are made easily.  Far too often, expats and visitors to NZ leave having not met any locals.  And for locals, often our only contact with people from other countries is driving past someone in a Jucy van photographing a flock of sheep.  A weekend like this is a great way to change that sorry circumstance.

Throughout the weekend we will be hosting a few ‘Burning Horse Yarn Sessions’.  Join our founders, and several notable guest speakers, for what we hope will be an enlightening, insightful and inspiring set of yarns.  We will be discussing the origins of Burning Horse, the state of the hemp industry in NZ, permaculture, regenerative agriculture, how we can make our rivers clean again, the prospective future of The Montana Flat and how these topics tie into a broader look on our political, social and environmental climate.  These talks will be brief, casual and designed to provide a platform to continue the conversation with your fellows about what inspires you, about what draws your passion.

It’s going to be awesome to meet a few of you there.
